HYDRAFACIAL: A WORLDWIDE PHENOMENON

It is estimated that hydrafacial is performed every 15 seconds globally, or around 2 million treatments a year. The Philippines is catching up fast with a mega following inspite of the stiff price of P5,000 to P10,000 per session. And that’s because it is more than just a facial. HOW DOES IT WORK?

Central to the procedure is an innovative device that does gentle cleansing, exfoliating, and extraction, followed by ultrasound, RF, and iontophoresis. The finale is serum infusion using customized blend to address specific skin care concerns. Serum infusion can be customized to target hyperpigmentation, sun damage and acne marks. WHAT IS THE STEP-BY-STEP PROCEDURE? 

The 60 to 90-minute procedure starts with deep cleansing, followed by hydration and exfoliation to refresh the skin; third step is to gently extract blackheads, sebum and debris especially in the oily T-zone. Then there are the ultrasound and RF devices to help contour, firm, and tighten skin; mask is applied next with iontophoresis and the last step is serum infusion with customized intensive skin boosters to help with specific skin concerns and needs.
